Supernova 2 CS is out!

Posted in Dance Dance Revolution, From Main Blog, News by S'Tsung on September 27th, 2007

On the 26th of September DDR Supernova 2 CS was released.

It has marvelouses always on, it has a different scoring system (you can get AAA by even getting some perfects^_~). It shows the name of the song when you play the song. SN2 has smoother graphics. Really the difference can be really be seen this time. It’s more gradient and shaded. It has also more visual effects in the background animations and song selection (but I guess we don’t care much about it).

Here you can switch Extra Stages on/off if you like. (you no longer get Extra Stage by AAing anything on heavy-_-). The red songs are NGO, Unreal and well known FELM.

The first songlist you will see is quite “American” there is almost no Japanese song but later on when you unlock other songs you will discover new crossovers (ehm actually new KONAMI originals). You know songs like Arrabiata, Stars, Raspberry Heart. Ofcourse there are returning songs.

Another time for Happy Paradise came. So I have here now, Nori Nori Nori. I tried it to be perfect…but well I can’t seem to be able to smile while ParaPara (at least those attemps where I smile were bad ones…^_^)

24-SEP-07 ParaPara - Tokyo Fever

Posted in ParaPara by S'Tsung on September 24th, 2007

Another routine is here but that’s not the only thing which is here.

I spent several last days by trying to produce a high quality, good ratio, effect and good sound videos of me doing ParaPara and I wish to “produce” it on a DVD one day. The videos are quite big for uploading so from now they will be only on bemanitube. Tell me what you think, because the small version video does not look that good as the big ones I have on my computer.

20-SEP-07 DDR Freestyle

Posted in Dance Dance Revolution by S'Tsung on September 20th, 2007

Someone on youtube replied to a video of Kyle Ward and Chris Foy freestyling with another freestyle. I didn’t like the vid, but I realized that I haven’t seen any freestyle videos from other countries than France in quite a long time.

So I just would like to put here this video (pretty old one actually). This is my first time seeing an arcade, playing this song and actually having fun by doing whatever I felt looked ok. Nothing prepared or anything, just what came to my mind.

Did You Know? - 573

Posted in Did you know?, From Main Blog by S'Tsung on September 18th, 2007

573 does this number sound familiar? Do you know what it has to do with this blog? Well, I will tell you.

Beatmaniaiidx.com was supposed to be mainly about the great music game BeatMania IIDX (7K) which is an “upgrade” of BeatMania (5KEYS). BM is the first musical game from a series called BEMANI. As you can see everything on this blog has to do with either BEMANI or other music games. BEMANI games are produced by a company named KONAMI. So you wonder where the number 573 is hidden in the word KONAMI?

It’s easy actually. KONAMI is a Japanese company. Isn’t there something more to the name? Well, there is. Five is said “go” in Japanese and it can be changed to voiceless version “KO”. Seven can be said nana and from there comes the “NA”. “Number” three can be described by mittsu from which comes the last syllable “MI”. From this 573 was born and the company is also known under this number. That’s also why the KONAMI’s name is written in katakana rather than kanji characters (which would have a real meaning).

573 number can be found in KONAMI games. For example both The Legend of Max and Max300 from DDR have max combo exactly 573.

17-SEP-07 ParaPara - Fantasy

STsung - Fantasy

Today it was time for an easy routine, my brain would not be capable to concentrate on complex movements. I also wanted something faster so I chose Fantasy - a song I almost killed myself when playing it for the first time on DDR.

15-SEP-07 ITG - Pandemonium [hard] no bar

Posted in In The Groove by S'Tsung on September 15th, 2007

Sincerely, after failing this song twice and one clear there was so much sweat that I could bathe in it (ok, I’m kidding but the sweat was pouring from me….-_- and my feet hurt as hell)

Virkato - ピアノ協奏曲第1番 ‘蠍火’

I guess that all of you have played Piano Concerto No.1 Anti-Ares in Beatmania IIDX11 or other version of BM IIDX. It’s level of difficulty 8 on another may be to difficult to some and easy for others.

But have you ever imagined that this score was actually composed for the piano? That’s not seven/fourteen keys and a turntable.See how this young Japanese pianist tried his best on this concerto.

10-SEP-07 New IIDX video!

Posted in BeatMania IIDX by S'Tsung on September 10th, 2007

Well, it’s nothing awesome nor brilliant but my boyfriend showed me the maybe most powerful tool to work with videos. It’s AVI synth. Enables you to write scripts which can do almost anything you’d like.

So we tried our best with it but the source files were already badly taken so well the result is somewhere between not bad and good.

Here’s the video of me (my hands) playing Aurora a 7 level song.
