dj TAKA as he is most known is a Japanese musician contributing a lot to KONAMI’s BEMANI series games. You can find most of his songs in Beatmania IIDX games.Did you ever wonder what these people - OutPhase, Iconoclasm, DJ Amuro, TAKA, lion MUSASHI, DJ Setup, 金獅子 and Risk Junk - have in common? I personally did, because I like them all and later I found out that it is actually one composer and that his name is Takayuki Ishikawa (石川貴之) - the real name of our beloved dj TAKA.

In June this year dj TAKA released his first album called Milestone and it was a great success.

Takayuki became obsessed with turntables at the age of 17. But it wasn’t his only love. He was also a passionate drummer. He became well known in Tokyo when his rock group Oblivion Dust became successful. Several years later Taka found out that for him turntables mean much more than drumming and started his DJing carrier. Soon his fame preceded him and what started as a small party for friends became a big club event.

Today I came across Exotic Japan routine (not the official one). I slightly changed it because for me it seemed offsync so this version is supposed to be more straightforward except one thing: the part after the introduction. I couldn’t decide what is onsync and what not so it feels a bit awkward.

Anyway the rest of the routine is fine and I like it^_^. Thanks to Euro B-Side.

Well, after partly recovering from an illness I wanted to start to play ITG once more. But single didn’t make me happy that much. My results were worse than ever. So I decided to play double (two people in the Czech Republic are trying their luck with it - so I joined them).

I took my CF pad and put it a little bit near the bed and I put an impact dance pad just next to my CF. Quite wierd combination I told myself but why not try it?The first problem I encountered was ofcourse the soft/hard pad problem. The second one was that the CF is actually higher positioned than the impact pad (this bothers me quite a lot - my right leg has to do much more work then the other one). Also there is a danger of tripping over both of the pads (I managed both already). But all this did not discourage me enough to play.

Anyway after a while I found out that I can play on hard but expert is quite difficult with the impact pad sliding quite far away from my hardpad. Also the difference in height is much more felt while playing expert. …*sniff*
But anyway I will at least keep to play some hard songs. Hehe.
