No it's not.
You've got a "guitar" controller with buttons on the neck of the guitar controller that you press.

Ok so well, you've got the note chart right? and that notechart should follow the real chart you play on guitar. if you will play the game correctly you will hear the right notes/chords being played and this will create the whole normal/bass guitar "sound track". if you play early you hear it, if you play a different chord you hear it. In my opinion this is the simplest way how to simulate playing guitar in a game (this should be in bold). don't forget that both GH and GF are GAMES.

Guitar Hero is button mashing without any logic most of the time. even though GHWT is an exception. it does not change a thing if you play well or badly. (I mean on time or not) or if you miss or you play a wrong note.

It's just my perception of what is "correct" and what is not. For me logic and something I can hold on too is important. and I need the feedback. If I play a note I need to hear it, otherwise I'm lost. I don't see anything in pressing a button that will trigger something that will play a certain part of the song. it should play just that ONE SINGLE NOTE.

Thus I would also forbid playing on all the difficulties that don't make sense. In GH it would be most of them and most of the charts(exception GHWT). in GF charts are done in a way that what you play sounds good even though that sometimes it's poor (if you play it on extreme later, you will notice that you play more notes and you hear more notes).

I will have to listen to Welcome to the Jungle to compare that. Thanks for stopping by and posting this comment.

Er.. "keysounds"? Isn't that part of the problem? It's supposed to be a GUITAR, not a keyboard playing guitar sample noises.

It's also funny to compare the (real) guitar track in "Welcome to the Jungle" to what appears to be a children's song played with keyboards. Are these two things really comparable?

based of what i\'ve heard PIU Pro MP was completed awhile ago and what we\'ve seen on ISHRA was the final version. I was pretty disapointed when i saw that. The pads looks really bad.
